Tre Personally I think Lyndhurst is awful. It must have been stage school that did it, but he has an awful 'normal' voice that makes his Rodney sound authentic. He also appears to have botoxed his entire face - I've seen vent acts that are more expressive. Compared to wonderful pros like Bolam and Armstrong he seems painfully laboured.
Mike Willis Yes tend to agree Jonathan, Alun Armstrong will be missed, but Nicholas Lyndhurst has done well since coming in. Tamzin Outhwaite has been so far very good as the replacement for Amanda Redman.
Will look forward to the next series.
Hashtag Hashtag Nicholas Lyndhurst is more convincing as a cockney than he is when playing someone more like himself. He's an odd bod.
JK2006 I thought it actually improved with the fresh cast members.
