Never got your reply Paul; wonder where it went.
Anyway, the answer is YES...
I had a hit with a Dance/Disco version of In The Mood under the name SOUND 9418; my home phone number at the time was 935 9418!
This was in 1976 and although the record only reached No46 in the charts, it was a big club hit, sold over 200,000 vinyl 7inch copies (these days only 10 hits a year do that!) and paid for an entire Album of instrumentals, many of which I recycled as a tribute to Harry, Ron, Hermione and the Wizards which came out in 1999 to the reaction from dealers of "Who the fuck is Harry Potter?"!
The idea for the multi styled dance treatment came from the late James Hamilton, a lovely gentle giant of a man and a very popular club DJ.
