Totally agree.

You may not be aware the 'Cambridge Rules' were first drawn up at Cambridge University in 1848, at Trinity College; these were particularly influential in the development of the game.

A game which is played by 250 million players in every country in the world - all 207 of them.

700 million people are thought to have watched the 2010 World Cup and the game/sport, for whatever reason, is the world's most popular by far.

Only the USA have been reluctant to totally embrace soccer. But that is changing rapidly with little leagues, soccer moms etc - and the ability to play the game with just a ball and 'jumpers for goal posts'....

No bats or padding required.

JK2006 Really interesting game - I'm not a big fan of the sport but this was a different and very unusual game with a 3-0 to West Ham thoroughly deserved.
