Just to clarify, the announcement was at about 2100, the last train is usually just past midnight and the weather wasn't predicted until 0400 - 0500 ....just seemed way too easy to kop out.....
...and if I'd have stayed for a curry at Wembley with friends, I'd have been scuppered. |

That's because the rail operators have to pay fines when their trains are late. If a train doesn't run at all there is no penalty.
