We were promised immediate reform a while ago.Besides tinkering at the edges we're still getting horror stories like this!
'Fabio Roia, the most senior judge in Milan, said the woman’s treatment by a secret court resembled a horror film - an unprecedented ‘act of extreme violence’ that could not have happened in Italy.'
1. They are not Cameron's Courts - they are HM's Courts (adjudicated by HM's Judiciary)!
2. Why is this a horror story?
The woman has bipolar and had a mental breakdown in an airport !
She is clearly unable to look after a child.
If the authorities had not acted and something happened to the child, what would people be saying?
(by the way - this all happened 15 months ago - who no complaint till now?)
I don't think they are even complaining about the child being taken, or the enforced op, just that the baby wasn't handed over to relatives in Italy. (Social workers claim they contacted them and there was not a viable offer to care for the child)
The woman has had two children removed from her care before this, and they are raised by grandparents and ex husband.
