I love it; decorations, familiar tunes, presents (I've had millions this year), friends, tradition (I did my turkey with bacon, sprouts, roast potatoes, sausages wrapped in bacon, stuffing with sage and onion, bread sauce, Xmas pudding, the lot), ancient but beloved TV repeats and streets looking lovely...
I'm all for it.
Thanks for posting to say this JK. Its nice to know that there are still a few out there who appreciate my kind of Christmas. That was why I launched my Christmas blog a few months back to try and connect with a few 'Christmassy people'. Sadly, it seems blogging is an outdated medium these days. In spite of posting regular updates my blog has attracted very little interest. I thought views might go up in December but actually they have gone down! Still, I have had a lot of fun writing, researching, re-visiting the old days to come up with my posts so I guess I shouldn't complain...
Worst thing though is that ALL of my immediate family are 'Bah Humbuggers' so Christmases at home are never want I would like them to be...
Merry Christmas JK!
I looked at your Christmas blog when you posted it (despite it not being December) and enjoyed it very much. I like old toys too and have quite a few myself. |
