the media loves to make heroes (for 20 minutes before they destroy them)... a bereaved Mum becomes The Bravest Person In Britain.... Sadly whilst I want Richard to get better ASAP (he seems a decent little fellow) we all know it could be THIS Sunday, if not the one after, the front page of the NOTW will be "HAMMOND IN VILE LOVE TRIANGLE" or, alternatively, sad hooker represented by The Silver Stoat spills the beans - HE'S HUNG LIKE A HAMSTER!

It may be uncaring of me - I have been told so - but Top Gear revells in the whole infantile idiotic fast is good, faster is better school of driving.
Accidents are the other side of that coin and I find I have no genuine sympathy.
Hoist by their own petard.
In The Know
Is anyone else totally fed-up with the coverage being given to this man?
Perhaps it's because I'd never even heard of him - never having watched such a programme - that I feel like this?
I'm sure he's a perfectly nice man - but after all, he was taking incredible risks (and in so doing wasting our precisous resources - such as medical staff and air ambulances etc) so I fail to feel much pity for him
