an interesting tale on the bizarre appearance of the fake hand signal chap..but..how did it happen ?

I've attended 2 US presidential visits in Sydney..Bill Clinton & George Bush Snr, both after they left office.

I've never seen security like it..Secret Service arrive weeks beforehand to check every location and person who will come into contact with them.. waiters, hotel staff etc etc.

When a sitting president comes..2 have in recent years to Oz.. it's impossible to get near them...100 car motorcades (all vehicles imported by the SS) and so on..

and Obama apparently has far more SS agents than any other US president..
