And one has to ask... is it because it's easier to report ("you WILL be believed") or because sexual assault is now regarded as something that, only a few years ago, would have been regarded as merely saucy (pinched bums; leer and wink)?

All of the above plus the main thing - as I announced 14 years ago... "It's a great story"! The media is totally responsible - or irresponsible, depending on your point of view.

The days of accidentally putting a hand on a child's leg whilst reading a bedtime story are long gone. Affection is now, without doubt, regarded as sexual assault. Why? Because "it's a great story"!

Happy 2014 to the species.

Hey, if you put your hand on a 17 year olds knee for a second while helping her practice her driving she can accuse you of some sort of sex 'offence' I know of someone this has actually happened to recently (of course since that first allegation, more from the same girl and her family have been piled on and they've accused someone else too (of something equally trivial as that first complaint) - it really is pathetic, and yes, I think they have been inspired by the media and recent climate - like sponges soaking up everything they hear without thinking, and of course the police are indulging it... idk...
