I beggar the question "How can anyone hate someone, if they do not know them personally?"
If you don't them, hate is a strong word. You may dislike certain celebrities, that may annoy you. In which case you'd neither listen to them, watch them or take any interest in anything they do. I have dislikes for Steve Wright & Tony Blackburn, for instance. I don't keep going on about it, I just dislike them as I find them rather silly. I can't personally hate them, because I do not know them. They probably have good points, but I find their "celebrity" status annoying. |

'Message' seems to have done the classic 'ring the doorbell and then run smartly away'.
Obviously doesn't have the courage of his 'own' convictions...... |
Mr Reason |
Not the place for it really.
I have a certain curiosity in the Mr King case, the conviction, the appeal process the fall from BBC profile (inclusing radio appearances as a guest) etc......I haven't made my mind up, I have an opinion, but this messageboard and this site is not an invite for an inquisition..........
its an owned forum for a point of view (by the owner) who allows the messageboard to be 'registration free' to enable a free flowing board
Asking someone to effectively 'step outside' is not really a fair challenge, is it? |

With the best will in the world 'message' - and I speak for myself NOT in any way for JK - do you honestly expect ANYONE to respond positively to such a post when you make it clear by saying that you are 'A huge JK hater' that you have pretty much made your mind up about the outcome of any correspondence already based on what other people think.
To enter into any meaningful discussion it is vitally important to at least be aware that there IS always a second side to the story. However passionately you believe that story to be false belief alone does not prove it to be so. I am NOT saying this to defend JK - he is perfectly capable of doing that himself should he wish to - nor am I by saying this stating that I am 'on his side' or that I am 100% convinced of his innocence.
How would YOU feel about responding if someone approached you about something you had allegedly done given the same set of circumstances?
Take the anger away, discard the thoughts of others, see BOTH sides of the argument and come to your own decision. That is what I am in the process of doing on here (and I have openly told JK of this). At the end of the day, only those personally involved and GOD will ever know the true story so trying to act as Judge & Jury is doomed to failure from the start. Whatever my thoughts, your thoughts or the thoughts of anyone else on the subject the real truth will always be the real truth and that is a fact. Remember, opinions are ALWAYS only that, however 'well informed' we think we might be...
Respectfully,
Tony. |
