I've never yet met anyone who approves of Israeli tactics in the Holy Land - but most just stay quiet - too afraid of being called an anti-semite (which is funny because there are, always were and always will be, more semitic Arabs than Jews !)
I guess its not just Palestinian land that they have "acquired"

Technically, these days, a quenelle refers to a shape rather than a thing, hence its use for ice cream, mash and dumplings. So I can see what the gesture is called that, but the pics of people doing it outside Auschwitz, for example, suggests an intention that doesn't require Roland Barthes to decipher.

I love quenelles - frequently served in stock or soup; delicious filled with a mousse; shaped like a small curved arm, which is where I suppose the gesture got its name.
