JK2006	I adore this series - yes, I would have thought simply painting over the signature would suffice; then it's simply a bad pastiche of a great work.
Pru	Warning: Spoiler! I find it barbaric. Register it as a fake, stick 'FAKE' on the back of it. That's all that's needed. You don't have to act like a Nazi. The history of fakes itself is quite fascinating and informative. Blimey, most of Mark Ronson's musical output would have to be burnt as he wasn't around when the 1960s really happened! Fascinating programme though. The reaction says more about the arrogance of art collectors (and their fury at being caught out) than it does about the nature of art.
JK2006	Please don't read on if you haven't watched the show - if you haven't you can catch it on iPlayer - if you care about the result but... if you have seen it or read the news in the papers, should forgeries of paintings be destroyed? My instinct is - if they cross the line by signing and pretending to be the work of another, yes they should.
JK2006	No point in saying SPOILER because it's been all over the news but this was as good as the other shows in this terrific series (my favourite thing on TV at the moment).
