JK2006 Ghastly crime committed by mad people inspired by yet another mad religion (or mad interpretation of a well intentioned one)… there are just as many mad "Christians" as there are mad "Moslims" or mad "Scientologists" or mad "Jews".

Sadness for the family and friends of the totally innocent victim but no sympathy for those who choose a career involving killing people. You're asking for bad karma.

No sympathy for one of my (useless) ex QC's - now "Judge" Nigel Sweeney… can I have my money back, please?

And my instinct says - yes, punish the mad people but, at the same time, look after them, wean them away from their mad ideas, help them become decent human beings.
