Pru Unlike many other countries, who seem to breed sports people who can win once and then keep on winning, we seem to produce ones who win once and then start falling apart, either physically or mentally or both. Look at Johnny Wilkinson - incredibly frail after reaching the top. Gascoigne - not even reaching the top and going into oblivion. Freddie Flintoff - retires early due to a bad back. Boxers - most get glass jaws shortly after getting a title. Rebecca Adlington - wins and then loses interest. Now Murray appears to be dogged by a bad back. Americans seem to become indestructible once they start winning. We seem to turn to glass.
JK2006 I predicted the partnership would bring us a British Wimbledon winner. Job done!
