I was dining with a friend decades ago in a tiny Brighton restaurant (owned by the actor who played Billy Bunter as a child) when McNee asked us to join him as he was alone..

A charming, friendly and very chatty chap.

Pru Interesting man. Brought up by lesbians, became a great supporter of his female co-stars and always had a healthy disrespect for anyone in authority. A lovely man, too.
