This is true and has been for many years.  Most farm jobs or fruit picking jobs etc are taken up by East Europeans and British people do apply for those jobs but often don't get a look in - most farmers are swamped with 1000's of applications for the fruit season but they only need a few 100 and they prefer to employ East Europeans, which is entirely up to them, but if the government are (and I heard from someone they were in the past) giving farmers financial incentives to employ foreigners over British people, then I think that's very unfair...  ;)[/quote]
