JK2006 My final opinion after the finish. Bloody awful and not just the shit sound.
JK2006 Delighted to hear it's not just me - thousands of complaints to the BBC. Nobody could hear a word. And sadly, nobody cared.
andrew BBC aired it with volume on low.
JK2006 Episode Two; is it just me or is the dialogue very hard to understand? All whispered and hissed in Cornish. It's also as though they wanted to remake the Brontes in a similar but different landscape.

I also remembered why I never liked the novel. I could never believe in any of the characters.
