Gnomo Agreed Hedda, it also raises expectations - I was sentenced to 18months, and spent most
of it in an open prison - I was most disappointed that no nooky was available, despite
many an hour spent in the showers!
Perhaps I have a claim against HM prison services for false advertising!
hedda Why do the most vehement nutters that crowd the on-line forums screeching about "Tory pedo rings" etc and yelling that all rapists must be hung from a gibbet think it's perfectly OK to wallow in the idea that everyone sent to prison will be repeatedly raped while they are there?

It's now seeped into popular TV shows, 'Law and Order SUV" is one that repeatedly uses this threat : whilst supposedly investigating heinous sex crimes the on-screen detective seem to relish in the idea a young suspect will be a sexual play thing in prison.

We have a class of people who froth at the mouth about sex crimes and then advocate for free-for all sex crimes in prisons. And not just those convicted of sex crimes- anyone who goes to prison.
