Lincoln's Magna Carta will not go to the USA until June. Currently it is on loan at Bury St Edmund's Cathedral.
Mr Reason
Looks like you have discovered the travels of the 'Magna Carter', so I'll advise on other things......
Turn left off Bailgate, the shopping street leading from Castle Square in front of the Cathedral, at the Greggs and carry on round along the foot of the castle walls.....you'll come to a pub called the 'Strugglers' depicting a sign with a 'struggling man being lead to be hanged, its what used to happen atthe castle, its a real treat of a Real Ale pub, with an enclosed beer garden at the back.
When you have finished there, turn left along the castle walls to the 20 m away Victoria Pub and have a try of the Batemans , another proper boozer......and if you have anything left, carry on down the road down the hill and you'll come to the 'tap and spile'

Thanks Steve
On doing research I see the Magna Carta is just off on a US Tour !
Am popping over this weekend though.
Have been to Tattershall many years ago.

ITK, the Magna Carta (a smashing pub called that at Castle Square by the way) is not at the Cathedral any more, it's at the Castle and they are building a special museum for it to be housed in.
The Castle is very much worth a visit too, great views on a good day around the countryside.
If you fancy venturing further into Lincolnshire, Tattershall Castle is also worth a look. On a clear day you can see Lincoln to the North West and the Stump at Boston to the South.
