Is it really the duty of the BBC to be the moral arbiters? Art to be honest doesn't have many boundaries, does it?

The BBC isn't trying to be a moral arbiter. It's nervously rubber-stamping the decisions of other, self-appointed, moral arbiters. And none of us are doing enough to combat them and leave the BBC free and confident to do its job.

JK2006 Reply on its way Chris; will post it when sent.
Chris Retro Will you be responding?
I hear on the grapevine there are many others up in arms at the behaviour of the BBC this week
JK2006 Simply confirming, to quote, that "No-one is excluded from appearing in our programmes if there is editorial justification for their inclusion".

Which is fine but then, why take Savile out of a non speaking few frames in the background? And why say "DLT shows will not be shown" - surely the fact that he presents them is editorial justification for inclusion?
