RightToKnow Nasser was born and raised in Barnsley, South Yorkshire to English and Palestinian parents. After attending Penistone Sixth Form in Sheffield he went on to study a BA (Hons) in Finance at Sheffield Hallam University. Spending so much of his time in Sheffield, the city soon became home- and its Nasser’s love for Sheffield that has driven him to fight for its future.

What is clear...is that New Labour, which presided over the 13 richest years in British economic history, didn’t deliver for the population of Brightside and Hillsborough. The community has been systemically failed by Labour and the Lib-Dem/Tory coalition which followed it. It was the failings and broken promises of the three main parties that kick-started Nasser’s political involvement in the area- he wants to see real change.
