As you say ... not finished until next year, so left it this time
david Lincoln is a beautiful place indeed.
Cowcumber and Possett Ooh, that sounds like you could be Retford based, Cowcumber?

No, much further south than that. I'm on the edge of Nottingham. Though I did have a serious motorcycle accident near Retford in August, from which I am still recovering. In fact, I was told I'm lucky to be here at all, so I'm grateful to be able to write these words. Cowcumber is alive and showing at all times!

And don't forget the magnificent cathedral there which, if I walk up the hill near me, I can see from 30 miles away here in Notts. The Lincoln Imp is of course inside the cathedral and always worth seeking out if you can find him.

Ooh, that sounds like you could be Retford based, Cowcumber? I know if you go South of Retford station on the East Coast mainline you can see the cathedral well on a clean day in the distance.

No decent shops? You have put me right off it now!

Plenty of independent shops up the Bailgate.

Also worth going to the Castle and also the Magna Carta exhibition which opens next year, I think.
