So you believe, Patt, that future acts like this can be stopped by better security and regulations? I feel that you will never stop the tiny minority of mad people committing crimes. Don't waste money having inquiries and making rules and new laws. And don't persecute the criminals; try to heal them and help them. And, above all, don't pander to the lower impulses of humanity and their vicarious desire for salacious details.
People have a right to know, and yes have a right to be protected.
I wouldn't waste money jailing him, just amputate his arms and legs, then he's no longer a threat,if his family/friends/charity want to look after him then fine,if not then he made his own bed....we could use the money wasted on incarcerating him in better ways...we could join the euro...we could support a load of illegal immigrants...we could buy Hedda champagne....ITK a new shovel for the mine.... |

it's part of the old Future Shock syndrome that a vast majority of people suffer from....the belief that one day all crime will cease, all buildings be built, all roads repaired and so and on.
Nothing gained by naming a young killer and as now demonstrated, he has been threatened in jail. |
