To my cost, I have learned never to bet against the bookies - as they are rarely too far out. The odds - for the most seats - in the next General Election are:-
Labour - 8/11
Conservatives - evens
UKIP - 40/1
So, a marginal win for Labour is on the cards.

Some bookies have cut UKIP's General Election odds to 25/1 - and they're 1/40 to win next week's bye election!

For Miliband and his increasingly jittery party, things have gone from bad to worse, with 63% of those surveyed now rating him as performing badly; just 21% see him as doing well. At a time when he has been facing calls to go, this gives him a new record low net score of –42, which is three points worse than the previous record low of -39 that he scored in June.

Labour also dropped three points this month (same poll) - which now puts them only 1% ahead.
That will easily be wiped-out at the election.
Careful what ye wish for ITK...a new leader,a few extra votes....then a narrow majority government....including Harriet Harmful,Jack Knife Jackie,Mrs Bollocks etc!!! |

Remember UKIP want immigration but they want to control it, something Tories promised and failed to do. |
