The reason why the Interview hasn't had a nationwide cinema release is the same reason that you JK put your films online (i.e. No cinemas will take them). With the Interview this is because they don't want to risk the safety of the cinema goers or the perceived safety, and with your films jk, there just isn't the commercial appeal to show the films of a convicted sex offender (rightly or wrongly).
I'm sure they're worthy films, but any connection with sex offences is toxic. This is why Chris Langham, Gary Glitter and DLT will never re-establish any sort of successful career again.

As the North Korean incident starts a "new" trend of putting movies ONLINE ahead of cinema release - please remember I've been doing it for ten years. Mainly because of the more subtle Western censorship that would never encourage cinemas or shops to stock, sell or display the wares of a wrongly convicted innocent citizen, but interestingly ahead of the pack.
and pop across to Amazon to download or buy the paperback of 70FFFY - the second volume of my autobiography.
Should set you up for a superb 2015. Incidentally, a friend who is one of the top national book reviewers tells me the chapter on Jimmy Savile is "the best thing I've read all year".
