JK2006	Yes we're often poo poo'ed as pedants but misuse of language is far more serious than it appears as this stupid incident illustrates and one of the results is - as you say - observers take their eyes off the real ball and ignore the real problem.

JK2006	After several weeks in sunny North Africa I'm as brown as you, Hedda dear. Or should I say "coloured"? Actually the colour is pink, soon to be grey.
hedda	well we are all coloured..you lilly white and me a gorgeous suntanned bronze that matches my Meadow Gold hair rinse. Now everyone apologises for the slightest thing. So much for Je Suis Charlie and all that claptrap (with apologies to the poor souls murdered) well may they claim there is Free Speech but there is also consequences.
