Her flagship policy - flog off the Council houses - was a major success and is about to be repeated, with the Coalition willing to "give away" Council houses to dolers who come off benefits and get a job. So one minute council houses are so scarce that people with a spare bedroom or a dining room have to leave it and go and live in a hovel, and the next they are so abundant we can give them away? Time to call the men in white coats for IDS!
hedda	just what everyone wants ..one of those apartments where the lift never works in a large block on a problem estate. Social engineering worthy of a Stalinist regime.
JK2006	I liked Maggie personally a lot (read all about her in my books) and admired her financial policies (Ken Clarke was a very under rated Chancellor) though I disagreed with most of her social policies (and told her - she listened).
