In The Know It's all change in Iraq !

This government (that was "going to see the job through" and stay until there was "stability") has issued a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq (even though they said they would not do this).

Troops will "hand over" next Spring. This announcement (unfortunately) came on the very day that it was announced that 3,700 civilians were killed in Iraq last month - the highest monthly figure yet. The country is well on its way to stability !

The government now (apparently) have re-defined their role. Instead of staying until there is "stability" (which may never happen) they are willing to "handover" when the Iraqis themselves are "capable" of handling such instability !!!

Given that most of the murders are being committed by the Iraqi "authorities" this is very interesting.

Everything this government has done has been a shambles - built entirely on lies, deceit and spin. Why don;t they have the courage to admit that?
