Martin ..but until sales and downloads etc settle down in to a coherent pattern, "relevent", has to be most talked about or viewed for a while. MTV have got this right with their Flux channel/website.
Grandpa Harley Define 'relevant'

After all, there are more 'charts' than you can wave a stick at now.. which is the real deal? Is there one that relates actual sales of anything anymore?

JK could do one mapping sales in units of '1 days sales of "Everyone's Gone to the Moon" on this week in 196X' which would be just as valid, and very depressing all at the same time...

Martin I must say I am a little confused as to which show is supposed to be the TOTP replacement.
As there have been many witty inported cigarette posts this week, and as Van Morrison has just been mentioned, a tale of a waiter in Enniskellen has just come to mind.
Waiter ;"Sirs you can`t smoke at this table"
Me and my mate:"Why not he`s smoking at that table? What about the table in between the two?"
Waiter;" That`ll be a bit of a grey area Sirs".

I assume the grey area in TV programming will arise when the X-Factors` starlets appear on TOTP2.
I am not really into the idea of resurecting TOTP, as it was, but I firmly believe that the BBC should do a deal with MTV, and create a weekly relevent show.
I think the Beeb fully understood they could not keep up with the might of MTV, but as we still pay licence fees despite how many satellite channels we have, we deserve a weekly magazine show.
And I think Declan the waiter would tell you the same.
JK2006 Last night I clicked over from Van Morrison to Eton Road.

Fucking hell, it said it all!
