Grandpa Harley	Afghanistan has, since the days of the 'Great Game', been less a country and more a gap between countries borders. The only time it's ever been useful (and I use the term loosely) was when the East India Company used and improved the opium fields for the Opium War (one of the great crimes against humanity perpetrated by the British Empire) One interesting point about the Opium War. The Chinese have a VERY long memory. The invasion of Tibet was in reprisal for Tibetan invasion and Genocide nearly 1300 years ago. The West (Britain and America, the main protagonists in the Opium War) are currently placing their economic Gonads into the hands of a people who remember a slight for centuries, let alone addicting a third of the population to opium by force... AS I say to my American friends <Mr Rogers> Can you say 'Stupid'? I like the way you say that! </Mr Rogers>

Even they knew they were losing ! In the entire programme you never saw one "Taliban" - all you see is the Brits shooting at anything that moves (even trees!). If it flickers .... send for a 2000lb bomb to blast the area to bits !!!!!!!!
