Opus Who can forget the Spanish chef: aged fourteen, it was (I can say) the only Soap I have ever watched or listened to, and had the faintest idea what was going on.
VileSubvert We'll never forget her brightest star, woolly bonnet Benny.

R.I.P Hazel.
Pru My favourite story about how chaotic the show used to be in its early days - when it went out 'as live' - concerns a scene that had Noele having to shout her way through a phone call because the motel's diminutive dogsbody, Amy Turtle, stood near her with a very loud vacuum cleaner. Ann George, the actress who played her, had misread her script, which told her to 'hover' nearby. I do so hope it really happened!
JK2006 The woman who created Crossroads starring Noele Gordon (briefly a UK Records artiste).
