andrew Look at the cop who killed someone for speeding - the judge said that he has suffered enough, so going to jail is wrong.
JK2006 But the hope is that it IS a false allegation, is proved to be so and enables a Judge to experience the appalling consequences and ease of manufacture so he can spread the word amongst his colleagues.

The law needs to be changed.
cillas big arse I'll be amazed if anything happens.look at that judge 2 year ago who was caught with child porn.the judge trying him said the public humiliation to a judge was punishing enough.what a fuckin joke.
andrew Yep how many law and enforcements have been jailed for long periods of time of time.
zooloo This brings up another issue with the legal system - he's bailed until 2 March - is the time it takes for things to proceed.

A person I don't know directly has been bailed and re-bailed (If there is such a word) repeatedly. It is something they say they didn't do and in January had their waiting extend, once more, to late February.

While I appreciate that things take time it does seem in my limited experience that it can take many months for someone to discover the case against them will not proceed.

I have no solution and each case is unique but wheels moving so slowly has a terrible effect on a person who may not have actually done anything untoward.
