md Ann Widdecombe sprang to my mind the other day when reading the thread about Keir Starmer. I think her famous quote about Michael Howard having "something of the night about him" could just as easily apply to Keir Starmer and Alison Saunders who both seem to have convinced themselves that the problem of rape and putting a stop to it can only be solved through the legal system.
