JK2006 Your post is in the wrong thread Robbie but do go to 42nd Street; it's fabulous. Back to the topic here; I'm convinced this media rule (the only thing that matters being Is it a Good Story?) is a huge terrorist asset. Look at America - they cannot resist photos of dying or dead children and print them without any investigation as to who is responsible, making our delightful new Tweet/Fox News President push the button. It will be funny when they carry the story of Perverts in the White House to see whether Trumpet pushes the Self Destruct button.
tdf I am not being naive, I think that there is a proximate risk - but as you say, it's important not to overstate it.

In my town (Dublin), the threat of crime/assault is largely from locals, and not immigrants, be they immigrants of the Muslim variety or not.

While I have no doubt that some of the immigrant population are involved in crime gangs, the vast majority of serious assaults and murders in Ireland are committed by local Irish people.
tdf You are not being stupid at all, in fact you are being logical and sensible.

The aim of terrorism and terrorists is to colonise the sub-conscious of the populace. Its shock value is WHY they do it - and the media are complicit.

Like Saint Etienne, I prefer to travel

"the side streets home
/even when I'm on my own."
robbiex I must go and see that. I've always had a soft spot for Sheena Easton. Apart from the fact that she shares my birthday, she is a great singer. Your glowing review makes me want to see it even more.
hedda Journalists in France refuse to display images of ISIL etc atrocities but they report the matters.

British media, especially the Daily Wail love promoting snuff movies and ensuring any new atrocity gets maximum exposure with full details so ISIL and similar mobs have realised the more dramatic, gory and despicable the death the more column inches thus,JK is spot on.

Much of the media promote recruiting videos for ISIL and ensure that murderous psychopath can go to Syria, Iraq and murder at will.

JK not as stoopid as he looks.
