JK2006 I love Ostia - the road out there - Christoforo Colombo - was used by Roman Emperors in Chariots thousands of years ago. But a few years ago they started trying to gentrify it and it clearly didn't work (like UK seaside resorts; I suspect it's ghastly 9 months of each year). It's now deserted and rather sad - and a bit grubby. Worst of all; there's now a McDonalds on the front!
