No it was Folkestone - though Elphicke is indeed Dover; wherever, intolerance spreads, as does abuse and false allegations. Which category this latest scandal slips into, we shall doubtless discover in due course. One thing I would reckon - whether true or false any claims are bound to be exaggerated. Then they make a better story. And if police are involved, with the spotlight on them they may, astonishingly, at least appear to be balanced in their investigation.

Wasn't it Dover where Michael Howard (Tory Home Secretary who brought into law the "no evidence needed - you will be believed" code) once represented us?
