Spee Under Milk Wood*

Spee Burton and he were both Port Talbot chaps - and, in their early years, the Dylan Thomas influence helped them.

Under Milkwood was performed - in one man shows - by both, from memory. Recordings are still available - recalling 'the tidy wives'....

Even the diction is remarkable - with the Welsh (real) accents describing the fictional south Wales 'bible black' village.

JK2006 I always thought of him as a better looking and more talented Richard Burton. I first saw (and liked) him in Magic (I loved the book and liked the film).
JK2006 This splendid series (better than most Prime Time TV) must be seen on iPlayer if you missed it.
