JK2006 I went there a couple of times in the 60s; also Ocho Rios. Loved it. These days there are so many murders there, it seems wise to avoid. Again, I recommend Tunisia and Morocco; not quite as sunny (indeed Marrakech was quite chilly this winter) but still lovely if you're looking for somewhere warmer and closer.
