JK2006 Jim Shelley's review in the Mirror Tuesday is fabulous - even down to, like me, his dislike of Tennant.

And his Life On Mars critique is great too.

He's becoming the Garry Bushell/Charlie Catchpole of the new tabloid era. Spot on, accurate and funny with it.
The Cat The Potter film has been out on DVD for ages and most people have already seen it, while the Dr Who episode was new. Plus, the Potter film had advert breaks, etc. so these are possibly the main reasons why Dr Who had more viewers.

I believe the ratings for each Dr Who series are always highest for the first episode. I thought the story was rather simplistic. Good effects but very little substance. Could have been much better.
JK2006 Massive overnight ratings - 8.9 million viewers; thrashed Harry Potter on ITV.
steveimp Good, you didn't let me down!

The Shakespeare episode next week looks amazing - especially on a TV budget.
JK2006 As you have found Steve - it's here (seconds after the episode completed).

Love Russell T to death.
