Precisely.

I think that is why JK asked the question in the first place. For example just why is Jordan aka Katie Price famous? What is it exactly that she's done to warrant endless media coverage?
Mart No surely Kev, you must recall his biggest hit!

How can anyone forget the memorable classic "I`ve Just Walked On to The Biggest Stage In My life and Naffed Up a Bolan Number"?

emmapeelfanclub Hmmm... Problem with Pete Doherty is that more people know him for being a drug addict going out with Kate Moss than they do for his music which the majority haven't even heard. I haven't heard very much and can't honestly see or hear anything special or interesting to warrant such attention.

The fact the world knows he's a serious heroin addict means he's a potential young fatality waiting to happen. I don't see anything remotely "cool" or "romantic" about that... theres a book about him entitled "Last Of The Rock Romantics" - please... give me a break!

The media being what they are, I get the distinct impression like George Bests' final days, they're hanging on waiting for him to fatally overdose so then they and the NME especially, can start heralding him as the Noughties equivalent of Kurt Cobain... the genius talent who died too young... I can see it all now.
Godiver He is interesting because he has musical talent (limited of late - i would suspect that his impending acoustic album will be a return to form), is a drug addict (people love the mystique that surrounds musicians and drugs) and he is going out with one of the most famous models in the world.

There are far too many, genuinely, talentless people getting press (hilton/goody/jordan etc) to be aggrieved about doherty.

Wait for his acoustic album, trust me.
