I certainly will pass on your regards if and when I pluck up the nerve to talk to Allan! He is well known for being understandably abrasive and prickly so the last thing I wish to do is upset or annoy him in any way so I simply let him be.

I tell you what Elliot, I only recently quizzed our boardhost here, as to what Allan Williams` name was, please pass on my regards.
I met him on a day I worked with the Pete Best band in Liverpool.

I live in Liverpool and though he may not be a major celebrity in the sense of the word, I do often find myself on the bus with Allan Williams as a fellow passenger since he lives a few streets away from me.
Williams of course is "the man who gave away The Beatles" in 1961 but a local legend in Liverpool nevertheless. I do often sit there and wonder how he must feel since he did play a major part in The Beatles earliest days and yet there he is sharing a bus with the public whilst Paul and Ringo happily cruise around in much more luxurious modes of transport.

I used to bump into June from "Terry and June" a lot, but I think she has moved now.
Last summer Max Clifford overtook us

Hugh Fraser was also an excellent Duke Of Wellington, in the Sharpe series with Sean Bean. A fine actor. Perfect as Captain Hastings.
