I find it a bit disturbing that he is so vicious about his own mother, who seems to be fighting battles of her own, and as a therapist he would be well aware of that.

so you are "victim blaming" him?

I reckon when Mia Farrow has had 3 of her adopted children die her parenting skills can be seriously questioned.

Not necessarily, because adopted children do very often come with mental health problems to start with, and gosh,no, I certainly didnt mean to victim blame the poor boy, but for him to sound so cold about his own mother, when usually even horribly abused children are defensive about their parents, makes me think that perhaps he has told only a fraction of the dreadful stuff that has happened?

I'm only joking.

But it's clearly a dysfunctional family and yes, Mia's adopted kids all came out of bad circumstances.

Although so did Angelina Jolie's and even Hugh Jackman's and all thrive.

I find the most interesting aspect of the whole case...and how would I know what really went on..is that people take sides and believe which child they want to.

And it's often nothing to do with the truth rather preconceived prejudices.

And Woody's weedy looking, Jewish and small. Can't help.

Me too honey, but on his side. What must it have taken to do this, to say this against the woman who raised him? what is more likely - he is a sociopath after lime light and cash, or she is/was very disturbed?

It is possible that he is easily swayed etc, but because of his profession, and because we know that Mia Farrow is at the very least a peculiar and selfish parent, I believe he is telling the truth as he remembers it.
md As an aside, though I don't think totally unrelated to the current discussion, perhaps all stories of painful childhood memories that go public should include a note similar to the one shown in the book Run for Your Life by Jill Joliffe (published 2014):
To tell my story I have had to reach far back into memories which seem vivid but may be distorted by time or prejudice, especially where painful memories are involved. I can only warn readers of this danger and add that I have attempted to avoid exaggeration and document all claims as conscientiously as possible.
