The Cat Yet again bits lifted from other Sci-Fi, such as 'Fifth Element' and a plot that could fit on the back of a matchbox. Not a bad time filler but hardly intelligent.

David Tennant has more of an idea about The Doctor than Chris Eccleston had, and he plays the part very well. Given some better scripts he could make some classic eopisodes.

It remains to be seen whether these new episodes will be still held in esteem in 40 years time. That will be the big test. I have noticed several Chris Eccleston era Dr Who DVD's in 2nd hand shops already. No depth = no staying power (unless you're called Tony Blair).
JK2006 I had a dinner party at my house last night but warned my friends not to even THINK about arriving until after Dr Who - so it would be an 8pm start.

Then they rescheduled Dr Who because of the Cup semi final and I sent out an urgent message - NOT BEFORE 8.30pm!

At 8pm I get an urgent message from two of my friends - "we too are glued to Dr Who; can we leave after it finishes please?".

Our dinner party started at 9pm! And was a great success.
Anthony Yes, another wonderful episode. Intelligent TV indeed for once in this day and age. Billie Piper was a hard act to follow but I think Freema Agyeman is brilliant. Beautiful girl and acts her part superbly.

I'm like you with Dr. Who. Never was a fan of the original stuff. Where we disagree is on Tennant. I think he's excellent. I like the eccentricity he brings to the part.

In fact if he decides to quit in order to avoid being type cast, and the BBC decide to go for an older (slightly) Dr. Who, then who would be more ideal for the part than yourself, JK?
JK2006 Such intelligent television.

DALEKS next week!

Still don't like David Tennant though.
