JK2006 Very unusual; when the Crown were told about the Judge's ruling, my team told me that nearly every time they appeal (second bite at cherry; nothing to lose). But when they decided NOT to appeal, I was told it was because the ruling was so devastating and clear, any appeal would lose. Now the BBC also decide not to appeal. I suspect the reason is the same; it has become understood that, whilst publicity can bring out more genuine victims from the woodwork, the vast majority are false accusers, for one reason or another.
