Jo	Maybe there's less hatred offline than on, where hatred seems to be stirred up very easily, with most people not directly affected perhaps more likely disapproving of his methods than actually hating him. One hornets nest he seems to have stirred up is the "anti-McCanns", who give every impression of harbouring hatred. I actually think he talks sense about the McCanns and think the idea that they could have killed their daughter or concealed an accidental death and spent years exposing themselves to public scrutiny is absurd and objectionable.
hedda	the odd thing about Mark Williams-Thomas is NOT the fact that in the Mirror he claimed to have "nearly 30 years investigating child abuse" at age 44 (????) but the fact he is despised by so many people quite apart from a Judge and numerous lawyers. This is pretty unique. I mean TV stars have non-fans but MWT is actually hated. Why? (reportorial question..we know why)
