Everyone from the South I've met have been charming and so bloody nice and I lurve that accent.
But obviously there are still plenty of raging racists down there. Has trump stirred them up?

Her daughter's school apparently has 1 black pupil. Maybe it isn't strictly segregationist any more, but it seems to be the next thing to it!
"It was only a few days ago that we learned not only that Ms. Hyde-Smith had attended and graduated from a now closed, whites-only segregation academy called the Lawrence County Academy but also that she had chosen to send her daughter to Brookhaven Academy, which shared the same founding history. And as late as 2016, it had managed to maintain a strikingly white racial makeup, with one black child and five Latino children attending a school with 386 pupils in a town that is 54 percent black." www.nytimes.com/2018/11/28/opinion/cindy...ate-mississippi.html
honey!oh sugar sugar.
She and her daughter went to school at "all white segregation academies" ?
I didnt know they existed. They dont still exist, do they?

No interest in this subject? Maybe it's not worth bothering about. I posted about this on another forum and it triggered replies that her comments were fine because she didn't use the word "lynch". Someone else joked about Mississippi having a tradition of hanging washing from trees.
Racism being socially sanctioned again. Should anyone care?

… but not enough to lose to her black opponent. Trump's America or just America?
Quote from Cindy Hyde-Smith: "If he [a supporter] invited me to a public hanging, I'd be in the front row"
Also photographed on another occasion wearing a Confederate army cap.
And, guess what? She claims that people have twisted her words.
