In The Know You wouldn't get me inside that tunnel for any amount of money - and that was before it was an earthquake zone !!!
Anthony I should imagine the structure of the tunnel would be easily able to withstand such a relatively minor earthquake.

I'm flying off to Finland tomorrow for the Eurovision, and I absolutely hate flying. Getting very edgy about it already.

I'd rather be heading off down that tunnel any day.
Mart I can elaborate on this theory after reading the Mail this morning.

Page 18.

Look at the diagram of the fault-line out of Folkestone.
And then track where the tunnel travels.
The tunnel follows it.

Uh oh!
JK2006 I think you've got me wrong here Mart; I'm not saying the Tunnel caused the quake; I'm worried that the quake may have caused cracks and damage which, in days, weeks or months, may lead to a collapse, flooding and multiple deaths - and I could be IN the tunnel when it does!!!

And I'm astonished this aspect seems to have been missed in the coverage.
Mart I am more and more convinced that the Eurotunnel is to blame as I think about it.
All I initially thought about was the tunnel through the rock etc, but when I think about the sheer weight that goes on that train daily, through the tunnel, I feel it must be sending vibrations to surrounding regions.
We shall see.
