Jo Here's part of the Met police's response to an FOI request asking several questions about Operation Yewtree.
Who has lead/is leading the operation currently: name, title, rank.

Operation Yewtree is no longer operational. All criminal investigations associated with Operation Yewtree have been completed.

Does the operation have an expected end date.

Operation Yewtree is no longer operational. It’s operationally concluded, but has not officially closed down as all the relevant closing reports are being completed and then they will need to be signed off prior to Operation Yewtree being officially closed.
