Deeply and passionately awful - now THAT's child abuse.
Don't know about child abuse but it's certainly zooloo's ears abuse.
Remarkably horrible - the recording is very distorted too, which adds to the overall charm nicely |

Ok I`ll listen !!
Here we go, I shall type as it flows.
Right, the weedy bedroom production highlights his voice in the wrong way. I suspect some auto tuning on the vocal, but I wouldnt want to put a bet on my idea of that.
The nerves show blatantly on the recordings, these sound like guide vocals to me, I would have sent him home with them and brought him back a week later after the fat had been chewed over how to humanize the material.
A talent, but another classic, "Myspace, !DANGER! Under construction" bunch of recordings.
He needs to be in a rock group and I WOULD bet that`s what he really wants.
His voice over pop/rock guitars would be interesting.
Can someone ban fretless bass samples from all keyboards please?
As soon as you hear one, you know what is coming.
There you go, live typing as I listened! |

He's actually got a much better voice that his Myspace suggests. I've heard him sing a few times and he's certainly got potential, but I fear he's fallen foul of a voice coach for these recordings. If they'd allowed him to be himself, it would have been much better.
However, his version of "You've Got A Friend" is very listen-to-able, once you put the original out of your mind.
Shaun is a prime example of how some music biz "professionals" can do more damage than good once they get hold of a young, nervous hopeful. |
