md	I don't think his prime motivation is to solve crime. Overconfidence and excessive boastfulness are often indications of an inner struggle with the flip side of these traits which includes self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy. He would be one of the last people to accept or admit to having his own dark, destructive emotions and urges. One way of coping with this inability to accept the dark side is to develop an obsession with other people who have gone one step further and acted out their inner darkness. All his fears can then easily be projected onto them. Problem solved.

Robert Ginty was one fine actor and a very good looking guy.
